Especially since the destinature is located on the most beautiful cycle path in Germany, the Elbe Cycle Path! Since not everyone can travel by bike, you can also reach us by train or car.

By bike

Hitzacker is located at a junction of the Elbe cycle path. With the ferry you can change here from one side of the Elbe to the other. And no matter if you go upstream or downstream, you will definitely come to the destinature Dorf.

When you arrive in the old town of Hitzacker, the island, follow the main street (becomes Drawehnertorstraße) out of town until you cross Elbuferstraße / Lüneburger Straße. Here you turn left into Elbuferstraße. After 50 m, a path leads down the embankment to the right. Here you turn again, follow the path and after a few meters you are in the destinature Dorf.

If you are on the other side of the Elbe, please note that the bike ferry to Hitzacker only runs until 15.10.. However, there is a ferryman you can call and he will take you across the Elbe with your bike.

By train

From Lüneburg you can take the Wendlandbahn directly to Hitzacker. The current timetables can be found here: www.erixx.de

It is 1300 meters to the destinature Dorf. When you get off the train in Hitzacker, walk to the left (against the direction of travel) along the Bahnhofsweg. Follow this until you reach Bauernstraße, which is no longer straight ahead. Then turn right, follow Bauernstraße to the end and turn left into Dannenberger Straße.
Follow this street until you cross the Elbuferstraße / Lüneburger Straße. Here you turn right into Elbuferstraße. After 50 m a path leads down the embankment to the right. Here you turn again, follow the path and after a few meters you are in the destinature Dorf.

By car

Be careful when planning your route with Google Maps! If you search our address – Elbuferstraße 4, 29456 Hitzacker (Elbe) – via Google Maps, unfortunately the correct location is not given. You are on the safe side if you enter – destinature Hitzacker!
