German Packaging Design competition 2003

Award for outstanding design- “Beste Arbeit” (“Best work”) in the category displays, promotional products and packaging

The jury liked the smart display for children’s books because of the lively combination of functionality and design. The design with the giraffes is very popular and is perfectly in line with the packaging. Children as well as adults are attracted to the display that is made only from wood offcuts and forest thinning material. Especially the centimetre scale on the giraff`s neck is very appealing to the little customers. Apart from the design it is easy to assemble, solid and has low packaging and transporting costs.

Award for outstanding design- “Beste Arbeit” (“Best work”) in the category displays, promotional products and packaging

The so-called “Conti-Tower” presents the whole product range of “Continental- Zweirad”. Depending on requirements and function the merchandise tower can be combined from single units. So it can be applied individually. All materials that belong to a bicycle tyre- from tubes, brochures up to valves- can be well presented in the triangular and nice-looking pieces.

“The Jury was thrilled by the high-quality of the display,” says jury member Hans-Georg Böcher from the German Packaging Museum in Heidelberg. “The display looks modern and fits very well into the brand appearance of Continental. It looks fresh, stylish and also adaptable.”
